Description Erin 2004-04-14 05:18:55 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
OS: Linux

after a while, konqueror's location bar gets a >> button to the side with a blank menu when you click it. it seems that this is a result of the address bar getting full, and the way to remove the >> button is to clear history and reopen konqueror

Is this still an issue for you Erin?
I was unable to reproduce with 3.5.4.
Could you give an example URL (webpage address) where this happens.

I think this is fixed now (at least in KDE 3.5.3), the location toolbar no more resizes according to the most wide history item.
Nevertheless, similiar bug exists, the Location Bar (and Location Toolbar) badly auto-resizes if it shares same row with other toolbars. But this is handled in Bug 28331

Oh no, it is NOT fixed in 3.5.3. (using qt 3.3.6)
Way to reproduce in 3.5.3:
Arrange your toolbars in one row, like this:
Location Toolbar (with Location Bar, possibly other buttons) | Main toolbar with some icons
Enter a VERY long (twice as long as width of your screen) URL into Location Bar.
Restrart Konqueror.
See that Location bar resized itself, so that it forces other toolbars to be on a new row.

So this should be definately marked as a duplicate of Bug 28331

I'll try to reproduce it with 3.5.4 ASAP
