About the error reporting problem, this is because there's no easy way for kdeprint to know the job status. However, you can still check the job status in the job viewer. For Cristian: cups-1.2 should come with a more elaborate notification mechanism that could be used in kdeprint (print status change, job status change...) Michael.

We'll have to keep in mind to exploit in KDE4 the much improved notification system that CUPS 1.2.x provides for us now.
