Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux If I replace bookmarks.xml with a symlink to say "~/stuff/bookmarks.xml" and then add a bookmark, the symlink is gone and in its place is a file called bookmarks.xml. Please consider allowing bookmarks.xml to be a symlink.
What bookmarks file are you talking about? The FileSelector plugin uses a file called fsbookmarks.xml (typically found at ~/.kde/share/apps/kdevfileselector/), is that the one you mean? (The bookmarks plugin does not use the bookmarks.xml file. Reassigning to 'general' for the moment.)
I'm referring to Konqueror's bookmarks file: ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/bookmarks.xml -Pandu --- Jens Dagerbo <jens.dagerbo@swipnet.se> wrote: > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You reported the bug, or are watching the reporter. > > http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79348 > jens.dagerbo swipnet se changed: > > What |Removed > |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Component|bookmarks part > |general > > > > ------- Additional Comments From jens.dagerbo > swipnet se 2004-04-09 21:29 ------- > What bookmarks file are you talking about? I thought you might be.. Reassigning to the 'konqueror' component. This has nothing to do with KDevelop.
It works for me in kde4 trunk r813735, allowing me to use a symlink to bookmarks.xml. In fact, it creates the .bak file of the file linked.
i cant reproduce with trunk rev 824808 either, so i will close this bug with worksforme, if you encounter it again in kde4.1 beta2 or later, feel free to reopen.
