Version: 1.2.0 (using KDE 3.2.1, (testing/unstable)) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-xfs Whenever the next question is presented, a dialog asks if the user is ready. Now, in German it says: "Sie haben 10 Sekunden, um die Frage zu vervollständigen. Drücken Sie Akzeptieren, wenn Sie bereit sind." 1.) Vervollständigen means "complete" in the sense of "add until complete" which is not appropriate if you just make a selection. 2.) "Akzeptieren" is not the lable of the corresponding button, it's "OK". 3.) In German, you won't address children in the 3rd person plural ("Sie") which is alright for adult students. Here I'd yet prefer the 2nd person singular ("Du"). => "Für die nächste Aufgabe hast du 10 Sekunden Zeit. Wenn du bereit bist, klicke auf OK!". Besides: "Nächste" for Next should rather be "Weiter" (Go on) (Nächste = la mas proxima).
Thanks for your bug report! Can you please provide the application you are referring to. I suspect you are talking about an kdeedu app. It would help since we can contact the maintainer of the german translation for this application without having to search the whole german translation files first.
you can find the strings in keduca.po. greetings, thomas reitelbach
Thank you for your bug report. The bug that you reported has been identified and has been fixed in the latest development (CVS) version of KDE. The bug report will be closed. Fixed in cvs, KDE_3_2_BRANCH. I did some proof reading on the translation and fixed point 1 and 2 as the translation is oviously wrong here. I leave point 3 to the maintainer as I am not sure keduca's main audience are children. Please open a new bug report, if you want this to be fixed.
