The geometry of the configuration dialog is awkward. It always requires me to use the splitter to resize the tree-list of modules/pages because most of the text is obscured due to the left pane being too small. I think it should be stretched some.
Yeah, the same here. This must be corrected before release, because it gives a very bad overall impression of the application, and the fixing should be rather easy. Thanks a lot.
Both issues will be fixed by a new config dialog which will be part of KDE 3.4/4.0. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 78665 ***
Wrong bug tobias?
Is this really the duplicate of some other bug report?
Reopening, because #78665 does not seem to be a duplicate.
The Kolab project has got some feedback by coporate users that really stumple upon this problem and it affects their view of KDE's quality. Could one possible workaround be to startup those dialog a little bit larger so the bad effects are not seen by most users? Note that one of the problems is that the right side cannot be made smaller, because some text seem to give a large minimum size.
Daniel, maybe Kontact bugs should be forwarded to a mailing list instead? This was an easy fix probably (1 line??), but it's survived for a long time and really starting to get voted up there. No offense meant, but maybe it would be better to move this bug area to more of a team effort. This fix really should have been in 3.4.

Still valid for KDE 3.5.5? The tree on the left-hand side is mostly visible for me. Just "appointments and To-dos" is not fully visible, i.e. the "os" is cut off.
Bug 84191 isnt a duplicate of this bug. It is a duplicate of 78336.
This seems to be resolved in KDE4. I tested it with svn trunk r865463 and everything on the configuration's dialog sidebar appears. No text is hidden and also there is no splitter anymore.
