Description Christian Nitschkowski 2004-03-29 22:42:55 UTC
Version: 0.8 (using KDE KDE 3.1.4KDE 1.2KDE 1.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMsSuSE RPMsSuSE RPMs
Compiler: Gcc 3.3
OS: Linux

It would be nice if Kopete would get an option to tell it if a contact is male or female.
It looks really strange when I read something like this:
"Bianca hat seinen Status auf Offline geändert"
(which would translate to "Bianca has changed his status to offline").
For female contacts there should be a "her" instead of "his" in this sentence.
It should be possible to do this using KAddressbook, isn't it?
Even if not, it should be possible to set the gender in Kopete, so it is able to construct better status-messages.

works in kde 3.3 b2
Comment 2 Jason Keirstead 2004-08-01 18:03:01 UTC
String is now gender-neutral
