Description Richard Bos 2004-03-27 21:48:27 UTC
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I have many entries (really a lot) in the session menu. This causes some problems under 2 circumstances:
1) small screen, menu does not fit at all on screen (even if konsole is on top of the screen)
2) konsole is somewhere at the bottom of the screen, the menu does not fit.

Under normal circumstances (when the menu fits on the screen) one can press and release
the session menu 'button'. The only thing that happens is that the session menu pops up,
as wanted. One has now all the time to select a session.

But if either the screen is too small or konsole is at the bottom of the screen and one presses
and releases the session menu button a session is immediately selected as the session menu
changes it's location. The session menu tries to fit on the screen and moves up. This causes
a session to be under the mouse and when the mouse is releases that selection is made (most
often it is the wrong selection).

Hopefully this behaviour can be changed?

Qt bug... Will take a bit before any fix can propagate.
As a workaround, press and hold the mouse button, and only release on the relevant entry.
