Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc-3.3.2 -O3 -march=i686 -funroll-loops -pipe OS: Linux On two similarly configured machines (i.e. both Gentoo migrating to KDE-3.2.1 from a trouble free KDE-3.2) the mouse behaves as through it has been double clicked when single clicked. This causes problems with check boxes and fine control of scroll bars, etc. Problem is seems to depend on the length of time the mouse button is held down. A very, very quick single click and release will work as a single click. However, clicking for anything longer than a fraction of a second and it is treated as a double click. (This is with either double-click or single-click activation selected in the Control Center Peripheral Mouse applet.)
I had that too - check for chocolate below the mouse button :)
Nope. :P Two separate machines in different physical environments, and only when running KDE-3.2.1.
Does this problem still occur with KDE 3.5?
I'm afraid I couldn't say anymore. Hardware, distro and desktop have all been replaced. I've been using Ubuntu and Gnome for a year or so.
Ok, thanks for replying. If you ever see the problem again, please reopen this report
