Version:           1.6.1 (using KDE 3.2.1, Gentoo)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.2 20031218 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r5, propolice-3.3-7)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.6.3-gentoo-r1

IMAP account with trash folder setup, Set "empty trash on exit" in the options. Does not empty the IMAP trash folder on exit.

Same thing on a pop3 account.

We've talked about this again and decided that this option refers only to the local trash. It has been renamed accordingly. If you want to empty all trash folders (including imap trash folders) there is a corresponding menu entry in the File menu. Also, "Empty Trash" in the RMB context menu for trash folders now works on imap folders as well. Also a (background) expiry interval of one day for the folder will result in the folder being purged daily in the background automatically. Hopefully those options are sufficient for you.
