Description Dik Takken 2004-03-22 18:02:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

When Ark fails to unpack a rar archive, it says something like "an error occurred while extracting...". This can be caused by corrupt files or by a too old unrar execulable, but Ark does not tell this to the user. Please give the user a hint and tell them about the possible causes.

There are many reasons why an extraction should fail. I think that this is a WONTFIX. It would be ugly that ark presented a list of possible causes each time an extraction failed.

Error messages sould be improved, but as i said, it is very bad usability to present a list of possible causes each time an extraction failes
