Description Osho GG 2004-03-11 04:29:45 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: GCC 3.3.1
OS: Linux

http://www.musicindiaonline.com/ is a website with a lot of streaming Indian Music. I listen to it all the time. Konqueror does not seem to be able to display the page at all on which the realplayer plugin is supposed to be loaded. Try the following link: (assuming you have real player plugin for mozilla installed and Javascript enabled).

http://www.musicindiaonline.com/music/l/XX01000C4F

click on the button that says "Select All the Above Songs".

Now click on the "Click here to listen to selected songs." Button. A new popup window comes up but it does not have anything in it except two small icons. Mozilla or Opera correctly displays this pop-up window which has the real-player plugin and some advertisements. The real-player plugin also correctly plays the streaming song.

Could you please look into this? This is the only site for which I have to user mozilla or opera :(.

thanks much,
Osho

I am using SuSE 9.1 and musicindiaonline works for me with both konqueror and mozilla.
Comment 5 Nilesh Bansal 2004-06-01 11:37:39 UTC
Ok .. i tried again and it did not work this time. So this bug is valid.
Comment 6 Osho GG 2004-07-11 03:00:18 UTC
This bug is still present in KDE 3.3 Beta1.
Comment 7 Heine Salte 2004-07-20 10:11:42 UTC
hm, anyone noticed the percentage bar in the small window jumps up and down (92%, 93%, 92 again and so on...)

Why does it go lower than it currently is? that's gotta be a bug too?
Comment 8 Alistair Strachan 2004-07-20 22:44:27 UTC
Install KMplayer, it works fine with realaudio now if you have the plugins for mplayer or xine installed.

Konqueror works fine in this instance.
Comment 9 Osho GG 2004-07-30 19:17:35 UTC
I tried installing KMPlayer, but it did not work for me. I get KMplayer: stopping on the status bar as soon as I load it.

thanks,
Osho

I haven't seen any update on this bug. Meanwhile, musicindiaonline.com has changed their website so the original link that I provided with this bug report does not longer work. However, the bug is still present. The following link now causes Konqueror (3.3.2) to crash.

http://www.musicindiaonline.com/l/17/s/movie_name.7155/

Go to above link. Click on the button that says "Select all the above songs" and then click on Play Selected Songs. Konqueror crashes.

Crash is the main concern. I suspect using nsplugins might work better, for those interested...
