Description p92 2004-03-09 16:56:07 UTC
Version:           0.8.0 (using KDE 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-6mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.3-4mdk-i686-up-4GB

When I start AOL
I have the following error message on console :

MNG error 1029: Chunk out of sequence; chunk TERM; subcode 0:0
Comment 1 p92 2004-03-09 16:58:24 UTC
same error message at ICQ startup

ICQ and AOL are started and working after that.
Just wondering what king of msg it is and if it should be handled or not.
Comment 2 Matt Rogers 2004-03-09 17:12:53 UTC
This isn't really an error in kopete, but an error generated by QT because of
one of our icons. It's not fatal, so we haven't fixed it yet.

I'm getting a .xsession-errors file that just grows and grows when I open a contact window and send a message to them. It is filling with that MNG error line. Just thought you should know.

SuSE 9.1 stock, patched as of 5/22/04.
Comment 5 p92 2004-06-05 16:01:10 UTC
MNG error 1029: Chunk out of sequence; chunk TERM; subcode 0:0
MNG error 1029: Chunk out of sequence; chunk TERM; subcode 0:0

this is really flooding the log, at the rate of ONE LINE PER SECOND now
so I think this SHOULD BE investigated and fixed please now !
Comment 6 p92 2004-06-05 16:03:11 UTC
and please can you suppress the terms 'starting AOL' from the bug summary line as this is not at all protocol dependent. thanks
Comment 7 Stefan Gehn 2004-06-05 20:26:53 UTC
can somebody please find out which animated MNGs cause this problem so I can try and reedit them.
Comment 8 Matt Rogers 2004-06-08 15:58:37 UTC
Stefan: all of them.
Comment 9 Stefan Gehn 2004-06-09 16:20:07 UTC
Ahh, thanks to everaldo for all the broken icons. Not a single one which doesn't have the problem. And furthermore, ImageMagick's convert cannot even convert them properly to gif so I can edit them in gimp (it only exports mng, not import though).
We'll see if Will has a good hand and can fix them.
Comment 10 Will Stephenson 2004-06-11 00:38:39 UTC
A brand new AOL animation is now in CVS. Since I made it in the Gimp, like the original animations, it should not cause this error. If any AIM+CVS users can test and confirm this is the case, we can close this bug.
Comment 11 Matt Rogers 2004-06-19 03:47:53 UTC
should be fixed now in CVS, IIRC (at least it is with ICQ and AIM)
Comment 12 Florian Ehrenthal 2006-01-13 01:10:34 UTC
kopetes jabber-chat's still spit out these messages :( (KDE 3.5)

oh btw: configured the chatwindow to only show the textentry and the chatoutput - no other icons, still i get that error!
Comment 13 luci 2006-01-27 00:21:51 UTC
i get the "MNG error 1029: Chunk out of sequence; chunk TERM; subcode 0:0" in KDE 3.5 too. flooding my .xsession-errors :(
