Version: CVS (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: gcc 3.3.3 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -march=pentium4 -O3 OS: Linux HI, I just did a complete cvs upgrade of KDE, and just found one small bug (at least on my laptop). I have always had the LCD look on my clock with the date on the bottom. Unfortunately, the LCD look checkbox doesn't do anything now. :(
Problem is only when transparency is enabled for panel. When transparency is set for panel, clock ignores background color and date shows background only if color is changed (reasigned). Best solution: create chekbox's near color chooser to enable/disable panel look owerriding. KDE 3.2.1, Slackware packages.
Actually in the CVS KDE ( 1 day old), even without transparency it doesn't show. It was working fine until 2 weeks ago's CVS KDE... but after that.... something happened.
Problem still exists in 3.2.3 Actualy its not only clock applet problem, but whole kicker problem - idea of transparency is good, but implementation is bad - ie. I cannot enable background color for some kicker apps and thus cannot see text on dark background images! And so on.
Problem didn't exist for me in 3.2.3, but after upgrading to 3.3.0 I see it as well. And transparency setting doesn't have any effect in my case. Bug is there regardless of any transparency/background settings.

Exactly how was this "resolved"? I just upgraded from Slackware 10 to Slackware 10.1 (KDE 3.2.3 to KDE 3.3.2) and my LCD Look no longer works.
it's resolved because it's a duplicate of another report. And the LCD look works fine in KDE 3.4
