Description ifinci 2004-03-04 07:45:31 UTC
Version: 0.8 (using KDE KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
Compiler:          gcc 3.3.1
OS:          Linux

Immidiatly after I connect to MSN, I get the status of contacts on my list, and a dialog pops up:

The connection with the MSN server was lost unexpectedly.
If you cannot reconnect now, the server might be down. In that case, please try again later.

If running from a console, the last part of the debug messages shows:

kopete: [void MSNSocket::slotSocketClosed(int)] Socket closed. State: 0x10
kopete: [void MSNAccount::slotNotifySocketClosed(int)]
kopete: [void OscarSocket::slotDelayConnectingPhaseTimeout()] Called.
kopete: MSNNotifySocket::~MSNNotifySocket
kopete: [void KopeteContactListView::slotSort()]

and the connection is closed. ICQ works fine.

I've tried what is suggested in bug# 64071, comment#7 (adding a useragant to the MSN entry in the config file), but it makes no difference.

This is all started yesterday (3.3.04). The same executable worked fine before for few days at least.

The most easy way to fix this problem is to remove the cointactlist.xml file
