Description Matej Cepl 2004-02-25 04:30:47 UTC
Version: 1.6 (using KDE 3.2.0, (3.0))
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i586) release 2.4.24

Message encrypted and signed with Aegypten S/MIME module (gpgsm 0.9.4-0woody2, kgpgcertmanager 3.2.0-0woody1, libgpgme-dev 0.3.15-0woody1, libgpgme6 0.3.15-0woody1, cryptplug 0.3.16-1) are not recognized as such and readable with Mozilla Thunderbird 0.4. This was confirmed with another user.

Message is signed correctly, but the encryption doesn't work. I tried opening it with mailer that comes with the netscape communicator 4.79 and it also unreadable.

It may be worthy to note, that it seems as if Thunderbird did not recognize the end of headers in the message -- area of message reader where body of the message should be displayed is always empty and when message headers are not collapsed then it displays whole message in header area. So after all it may be the bug in Thunderbird expecting multipart message even when it is just one part application/pkcs7-mime with attachement. Or should kmail use boundary after all?

BTW, I have filed this bug also on Mozilla's Bugzilla (against Thunderbird) as http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=236466

Also filed to intevation.de issue tracker (https://intevation.de/roundup/aegypten/issue222). Still present with KMail 1.6.2.
Comment 6 Matej Cepl 2005-01-23 01:58:13 UTC
Seems to work with KMail 1.7 and gnupg 1.9.11-cvs
