Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2004-02-21 16:48:16 UTC
Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 3.2 BRANCH >= 20040204, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-166-athlon

Hi!
First I do not know if this is a KDE problem, because kword opens the file without this problem.

Second the letter "ö" is transformed to "|" pipe and MS-Word complains

Are you referring to attachment names?
Comment 2 Ferdinand Gassauer 2004-07-20 21:32:08 UTC
yes, but currently the handling of Umlaute and attachment names is so broken, that I can not jugde what happens.
Comment 3 Michael Jahn 2004-07-26 21:00:14 UTC
Is this the same as the handling of attachment names with Outlook? If yes this bug can be closed, as this "feature" is implemented in HEAD.
