This is a little hard to reproduce, here's an exact guide, hopefully:

1) Maximize konsole, and do `grep -HnR "\$Id" *` in kdebase.

2) Shrink konsole horizontally to perhaps 1/5(?) of the original size.

3) Scroll upwards a bit.

4) Select some text - Crash.

QT 3.3, CVS HEAD.

Fixed, not sure if it makes it into KDE 3.2.1
