Description Iván Sánchez Ortega 2004-02-17 19:15:46 UTC
Version: 3.0 (using KDE 3.2.0, (testing/unstable))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20040110 (prerelease) (Debian)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.24-1-k7

Consider someone with sight problems, a person who likes things to be big. The kind of person that should switch "double-sized pixels" on to have 128x128 icons based on the 64x64 .pngs
Well, if you have something like that, and Konqueror set to display thumbnails of images, text files ans so, such thumbnails will be unaffected by the pixel-doubling. The result will be a list of icons, some 128x128 in size, others in 64x64.

Maybe a solution would be doubling the size (not the pixels) of the thumbnails.

Update: in KDE 3.4.0, double-sized pixels do make thumbnails bigger, but everything overlaps... ugly ugly ugly.

Re: Comment #1
It's good for weak-sighted users, isn't it?

double sized pixel icons are now gone; the a11y people say they were obsoleted by things like monochrom icons and the kwin zoom tools.
