Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package OS: Linux Using version 3.2: The window raising policy I prefer to use is "Left-click in inner inactive window -> focus, raise and pass click". This works at first. However, after a period of usage, a left-click in an inactive inner window no longer raises it; only clicking the titlebar does so. Re-checking the relevant policy, I find that it is correctly set. Removing all related user configuration files does not correct the behaviour, but removing and re-installing the packages does. The bug does not appear to be reliably reproducible, and occurs very infrequently. I have been using 3.2 for perhaps two weeks, and this has occurred only twice in that time. It has only occurred at the beginning of a session, never during one. Thanks for your time.
Please upgrade to a more recent KDE version and try again.

I have this problem with 3.4.1 compiled from Gentoo-ebuilds. The problem appeared right after opgrading from 3.3.x. Anything I can do to help troubleshoot?
I also used to be able to drag the window by holding down alt and dragging the window in the inner area. Now it is only possible to do by dragging the titlebar. I'm not sure the two problems are related, but they could be.
Strange. Suddenly after doing nothing about it (but cursing alot) it started working again. I installed kmail and kopete and suddenly I noticed that clicking inside an inactive window raised it again. I'll crawl back into my hole...
