Version: konsole 1.3 on kde 3.1.95 (using KDE KDE 3.1.94) Installed from: RedHat RPMs in konsole there is a zmodem upload (edit->zmodem upload) facility that can send files to the other machine if i am connected to via telnet or ssh to some remote machine. it would be great to have an equal receive facility. for example by selecting Zmodem receive the local konsole should be ready to receive whatever the remote computer send with sz. after selecting to receive the a file, there should be a text that states what measuer to take on the remote machine, for example: now start the send process from the remote machine with the following command: sz -b file (or similar).
Hi, I am not the maintainer of konsole, but just for an hint, try what happens when you type "sz file" on the remote machine :)
A menu entry just to display a help text? This better should be added as tip of the day.
since there is a upload menu item in the edit meny it would help with a download meny item that states that you can try "sz file" on the remote host. i discovered that Konsole (in KDE 3.1.94, 3.1.95 and 3.2) only begins to recieve files from some remote machines. from linux no problem, but from solaris 9 machines Konsole does not begin to receive even if i type "sz file" on the remote host.
Works fine for me with a Solaris 9 machine SunOS fiesta 5.9 Generic_112233-11 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-880 sz 3.36 04-23-94 for SYS III/V by Chuck Forsberg, Omen Technology INC
lets not bother to much with this. how many people does actually use this feature? i suggest resolved worksforme, or some similar resolution.
