Description Js Lebacq 2004-02-11 13:53:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs

See that example:

an ogg file with the name "01 SKA-P / Planeta Eskoria.ogg", and in the meta-info properties the title "SKA-P / Planeta Eskoria".
Imagine I want to change the name to "01 Planeta Eskoria.ogg" and the title to "Planeta Eskoria".
If I modify them from the properties panel, and then clic "ok", only the name is really changed. I must access again to the properties panel to modify again the title.

I suspect konqueror tries to change the title meta-tag of the file "01 SKA-P / Planeta Eskoria" (wich no longer exist) instead of the new file "01 Planeta Eskoria.ogg", but IMHO it's a bug.

I just test with other kinds of files, and it seems it's not an ogg-specific problem: I have the same bug if I want to change simultaneously the name and a meta-tag of a file, even if it's not an ogg file.

Moving from "kio/kfile" component to "kfile" product, helps sorting out duplicates.

The save panel's job isn't to be a metadata editor. All of this should probably be done within a dedicated tag management app such as Picard or kid3.
