Description Sander Devrieze 2004-02-08 14:18:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages

I would like to see that KMail can "render" emphasized ASCII text.
So: *bold text*, _underlined text_, and /oblique text/

See also RFC1855, page 4.

ps: This is maybe something for the code sharing between KNode and KMail!

typo
Comment 3 Tristan Miller 2005-11-17 01:50:55 UTC
If this feature is implemented, please make it easy to turn off (either globally, or for a particular message). I don't want KMail to misinterpret *, _, and / when people e-mail me snippets of source code.

I don't like that. Wouldn't it be possible to deactivate that? Maybe together with the smiley setting if a new configuration option is too much?
