Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.2.0)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          g++ 3.3.2 g++ on amd64
OS:          Linux

I've read that this problem has been fixed (due to alsa auto-detection if I'm right). However, I continue to have this problem on amd64 whatever the version of KDE I use (3.1.5, 3.2.0rc1 or 3.2.0)
I use a gentoo build for this architecture (64 bits mode) with a patched 2.6.1 kernel.

I've forget to mention that I run kde on a dual opteron and that the sound works fine under gnome.
