Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs OS: Linux Hello there! 1. Using KDE 3.1.3 - no props 2. Upgrading to KDE 3.1.94 using Mandrake RPMS - First time i start KMail I accept conversion of mailfolder to ~/.Mail - From now on all emails that went through the conversion get unknown subject and dato and No subject when I click on them to view them in KMail. - Emails received after the conversion isn't affected by this problem. 3. After upgrading to KDE 3.2 using Mandrake RPMS from cooker the problem persists. 4. After reading old bugreports I tried to delete .*.index, ,*index.ids and .*.index.sorted in ~/.Mail. When I do this and open KMail the emails are shown OK until I click on them and we're back to the same problem. It still only affects email received before the conversion.
I'm very sorry, but that's a Mandrake specific bug. In the official version still ~/Mail is used so this bug doesn't apply to the official version. Please send your bug report to Mandrake.
I am sorry to tell you that I can confirm the bug at Suse 8.2 too. I used the Suse's RPMs, and I have the same problem. The emails are not actually "deleted" from the ~Mail, since when I open a file I can see the source of the mail.

Non-issue: this is intentional. The files aren't deleted until you compress your mailfolders.
The same happens with Debian Sarge... Why is it intentional ?? How to restore EASILY my emails ??
