Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          gcc 3.2.3 
OS:          Linux

I cannot properly modify the icon of a menu item, I have to do it twice for it to work.. let me explain the steps:

1) Open menu editor
2) Select an item
3) click on its icon
4) change icon
5) save changes
at this point the changes should have been applied, but they aren't, here is the additional workaround steps I need to do to apply the change
6) click on the item icon
7) instead of picking another icon, click cancel
8) save changes

This error is reproducable each and every time
