Description Shadow 2004-01-23 17:26:24 UTC
Version: 3.0 RC1 (using KDE KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r3, propolice)
OS: Linux

When I launch Kdevelop then I press Alt+F2 keys (To open Run Command window) and no more keys cause any efect on system.
If I close kdevelop (With mouse) all the keys than I have been press have efect at a time.
It seems like kdevelop gets the control of the keyboard but not the control of kde keys stack or system keyboard FIFO.

And after I close Kdevelop with Mouse a kdesktop dialog appears on me. It says:
KDEInit could not launch 'env'.

It seems like a modal dialog problem.

This was reported before (see bug #66864) but noone could reproduce it..

Interestingly, I get almost this behaviour from 'kuiviewer'. When I run it from the run dialog, the run dialog stays open. When I close kuiviewer, I get "KDEInit could not launch 'kuiviewer'" and the run dialog finally closes. No keyboard interruption though.

Yeah, if I run it from the menu the problem disapears. I need to run it from the run dialog to get it.
I think it's a Kde problem, not a Kdevelop problem.

Yes, this is probably a KDE environment problem. I seriously doubt KDevelop is to blame here.

Closing.
