Description hatky 2004-01-22 22:47:21 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.13mdk

The defualt desktop witching is defined in kde as shift+tab for next and shift+alt+tab for previous,
if you define the language witch hotkey as alt+shift as default in windows the hotkey of shift+alt+tab does no longer work, it does nothing or changed to the next desktop depending on the sequence in with you pressed the keys and switches the language, this part IS acceptable, but it should go to the previous desktop.

Please run 'xev', press and release the Shift+Alt sequence, and attach here the xev output. You can run xev e.g. as 'xev >/tmp/file.txt' to save its output to a file.

Sorry but the mandrake cooker package containing this file is currently borken so I can not test it but the bug still exsists KDE 3.2

But I cannot do anything about this bugreport without getting the further info. Reopen the bugreport after you provide it.
In fact I could close the bugreport as WONTFIX even now, as I think I know the reason why it doesn't work, but I just want to be sure. In case you understand the xev output and see that the Alt,Shift sequence doesn't generate KeyPress events with Alt and Shift keys but Alt and ISO_Prev_Group keys instead, don't bother reopening - it's a problem of the keyboard map then, and since KWin doesn't get the Alt+Shift events, it's no bug it doesn't do anything.
