Description Amit Shah 2004-01-22 12:57:35 UTC
Version: 2.4.0 (using KDE 3.2.0 RC1, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20031229 (prerelease) (Debian)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.1

Noatun tray notifications displayed 'stopped' for about 10 seconds after it's finished playing the current song. In the mean time, another song in the playlist has started playing. After this notification is gone, the name of the new song being played is flashed...

btw, this worked fine till -beta2. The bug is new in -rc.

What is "flashed"???
Here the "stopped" KPassivePopup gets replaced with a new one as soon as Noatun starts playing a new song, I don't have any idea what the problem is.

Whatever is not working for you, it's not caused by noatun then.

kopete events are reported fine, they've got no problems. I wonder why noatun
popups are exhibiting this behavior

I still cannot reproduce this and just recently CVS HEAD introduced a new layout of that passivepopup. Please test that one if you can and tell me if the bug is still visible.

Thanks Stephan; currently I can't test with the CVS; I'll post a reply when
I can do so.

Any updates on this one? Is it still around?

I can't test this as of now; I'll report it again if it does show up when
I'm back to my KDE/Linux box.

noatun has not been part of the KDE 4 release and is no longer maintained.

KDE now offers Dragon as a video player and JuK as a music player. Additionally, other popular KDE players have been ported to KDE 4, such as Amarok or Kaffeine.

If this issue is still applicable to KDE 4 applications, please add a comment or file a new report.
