Description Sean Clarke 2004-01-14 13:54:02 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.94)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Not sure if this is a bug or a wish...

When you have class as an method parameter for class B and then change the name the name change is not propagated. I think this is a bug, the class name selection is restricted to classes in the project, by not propagating the change you are creating an illegal state... I think.

I am using Umbrello compiled from source (kdesdk-040113 ie 13/01/2004).

This is also true of methods:

Diagram 1: Class A
Diagram 2: Class A

In diagram 1 add a new method, the method does not appear in Diagram 2, even after a restart. If the class is deleted and then dragged across to the canvas it's details are correct.

The first comment is an extention of beastie 53376

I can't confirm the second problem, when adding a method class representations in both diagrams get updated. How did you add the new method?

Is it a duplicate of #bug 53376?

My problems were refering to 2 classes on 2 class diagrams, not sequence diagrams. From memory I double click class A on diagram 1, changed it's properties and commited. i then looked in diagram 2 and the new name and methods were not displayed.
Comment 4 Jonathan Riddell 2004-01-19 19:49:14 UTC
OK, I misunderstood. It's not a duplicate.
Comment 5 Jonathan Riddell 2004-01-19 19:49:58 UTC
However I can't recreate this, any changes to a class a shown if that class appears on another diagram.
Comment 6 Sean Clarke 2004-01-21 16:58:59 UTC
I have an example of this and something similar, can I email you a umbrello diagram?
Comment 7 Jonathan Riddell 2004-01-21 18:04:26 UTC
You can add it as an attachment through the link at the bottom of the page.

Or put it on a web server and give us the URL.

Or e-mail it to me and I'll handle it.
