Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.94) Installed from: Compiled From Sources OS: Linux RealMedia files (*.rm) are incorrectly identified as RealAudio (*.ra) files. One example is the file on the top of this webpage: http://www.omroep.nl/rvu/berichten/2004/vermeulen/welcome.html which is a RealAudio file. Another example: http://cgi.omroep.nl/cgi-bin/play?/tv/nos/journaal/laatste.rm
Correction: http://www.omroep.nl/rvu/berichten/2004/vermeulen/welcome.html contains a RealMedia file. How confusing... :)
wget -S "http://cgi.omroep.nl/cgi-bin/play?/tv/nos/journaal/laatste.rm" HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 1 HTTP/1.1 200 OK 2 Date: Sat, 10 Jan 2004 17:30:02 GMT 3 Server: Apache 4 Connection: close 5 Content-Type: audio/x-pn-realaudio It is the server that claims it is RealAudio not konqueror.
Btw. I found some more examples where this happens. All of the webserver sending the wrong mimetype, all of them apache-webservers. Checking the apache code, I found it identifies rm files as realaudio. So now all I need to do is file a bug against apache..
