Version: 1.5.4 (using KDE 3.1.4) Installed from: (testing/unstable) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Debian) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.0-mm2 Currently, when I select multiple messages in a folder, the "reply" options in the menu/toolbar become disabled. I'd like to suggest an implementation similar to mutt, where you can tag ('t') multiple messages and then do a tagged reply (';r') which opens your editor with e.g.:
On Tue, Jan 06, 2004 at 05:01:08PM +0100, root wrote: > message 1 On Tue, Jan 06, 2004 at 05:01:11PM +0100, root wrote: > message 2
The only problem is: to who to reply? Maybe just insert every original author into the "To: " field. I think this feature is in most cases used when wanting to answer multiple messages of the same author.
Hm, i think this feature could become very useful for collaboration in workgroups :-) Nice idea :)

I'm considering switching from mutt to kmail, and this is the only feature I've really missed so far. IIRC, what mutt does is basically take the union of the sets of addresses it would have replied to for the individual messages.
I miss this feature, too. Mainly because of threads: if I reply to multiple emails with the same answer, I want to see my answer in all these threads in thread view. Currently my answer gets into one of the threads, and its relation to other threads is ignored.
