Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.3) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs OS: Linux I run KDE 3.1.3 (Mandrake 9.2 distro) on a _slow_ computer (Cyrix 6x86 166). Although not flashing , speed is acceptable. I guess the low speed makes the bug that I describe hereafter visible. When left-mouse-clicking on a menu button it starts flickering several times , probably related to the number of entries in the menu. It does not so when shifting while pressed to an adjacent menu , which makes me think it has to see with a mouse-click-event. It seems a consistent behaviour over all kde applications. (kmail, knode, kmix, konqueror ...) It is visual very annoying and probably eats a number of scarce cpu-cycles (:-)) on my box. Very nice product otherwise !!!
Disable the fading menu effect in the control center.
All GUI effects were disabled already ... Nevertheless the problem is there.
I do not see the flickering in kde4 with a PII 200Mhz.
Do you still have a problem with kde 4.3?
