Description gerard 2003-12-30 09:08:10 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-10mdk

When I change the date in alt vs time, the Refresh button has no effect until I delete the list of the displayed stars ad re-create it.

Example : if I am in Winter and if I ask for a date in Summer, the Sun stays low. It gets high when I delete it and re create it in the list.

The Sun curve is not synchronized with the day/night zone.

The translation of then names does not work in the list.
If I choose Soleil, I get Sun.

Hope it can be fixed

I can't reproduce this. Are you pressing the "Update" button in the "Date & Location" tab?

Can you clarify what you mean by this?

Fixed. Will not close bug until other issues are resolved.

Strange. For me, when I press "Update" ("Actualiser" in you screenie), the curves immediately jump to their new position, as they should. I don't know why it isn't working for you.

Ah, yes. The day/night transitions occur exactly at 06:00 and 18:00, no matter the date. I will accept the request to fix this so that the actual sun rise/set times are used.

CVS commit by harris:

partial fix of BR #71469. User reported that position of Sunset and
Sunrise in the Altitude vs. Time tool did not actually follow the correct
times for a given Date and Location, they were hardcoded at 06:00 and
18:00. This is now fixed. Please test the changes

I am unable to reproduce the main part of bug report (altitude curves not
updating when changing Date or Location), however. I'd appreciate it if
people could attempt to reproduce it and report to the mailing list.

Very interesting; I wasn't even trying to fix this part! Oh well, I am glad
it works.
