Description Gunnar Kloke 2003-12-18 10:22:42 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages
OS: Linux

I think using kmail is very bad because of its limit in columns for
mail-directories. Why can I just select from subject, from, to, date
and size? And from/to just if it is not an imap folder or an inbox folder?

Kmail would be more usefull if it would support more columns for
every mail-directory. Examples:

subject, from, to (from/to both in one directory), date, size, attachement,
importance...

Especially in companies this feature is very requested. Think about
the mail-box of a supporter: The mail came from this guy, ok, but did
he send the message to the support-adress or to the sales-adress? Or
perhaps to the info-adress or to the marketing-adress?

This whish is different from the wish to configure the mail-directory-view
with templates (although this would be also very usefull).

Summary: We need more possibilities to configure the columns in the
mail-directory-view, expecially from/to _both_ in one directory.
