Description Thomas Zander 2003-12-11 21:01:25 UTC
Version: 1.5.94 (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031005 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21

Move / Copy are reversed (verses konq) in the popup when dragging emails from one folder to another.
Comment 1 Stephan Binner 2003-12-11 21:31:33 UTC
Why don't you fix such trivial stuff yourself?
Comment 2 Ingo Klöcker 2003-12-11 21:39:39 UTC
We won't change this. "Move" is by far the most often used function from this menu. Therefore the effort to move the mouse pointer to Move must be minimized. And that's exactly why in KMail Move is on top.
Comment 3 Thomas Zander 2003-12-12 22:23:19 UTC
Consistency is IMO more important then asking moving the mouse a little (it was a drag already, so what is another couple of milimeters).

By forgoing consistency you make the user read the pupups; and since the are absolutely the same except for ordering its easy to get confused.

I also think the kde-usability list agrees with me.

Please change the ordering.

I read the thread and it seems the agreement (if one can even talk about an agreement) was:
Make it consistent, but change the ordering in Konqueror and not in KMail.

Hehe; those suggestions were made after I posted the followup.. Sorry for not waiting longer to let the thread develop further.

Lets see what happens to: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kfm-devel&m=107131061225225&w=2
