Description Carsten Lohrke 2003-12-02 17:43:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.93)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.2.3

su'ed, configured/compiled (Gentoo/emerge, so I'm not sure how far the build process was) selected a huge part of the configure output and accidentally drag'n dropped the selected text inside konsole.
Result: kosole became unusable, all subprocesses didn't consume cpu power, (didn't had a look at their status) but killing the by the drag 'n drop operation added tee process caused konsole to die silently.

Can confirm this. Konsole hangs on a read from the X-server. Attaching strace to the process brings it back to life. Seems to be a Qt clipboard handling problem.

I'm pretty sure this issue has long been fixed. I haven't been able to reproduce here.

If you can still get this under KDE 3.5.x please reopen the bug.
