Description Diego Iastrubni 2003-12-01 18:48:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.93)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources

This was sent to cooker mailing list by Munzir Taha <munzirtaha _at_ newhorizons.com.sa>:

"want to rephrase the bug again in a better way:
In all applications (KWord, OpenOffice, Konqueror, kedit, gedit, dia, ...)
accelerator values such as Ctrl+A don't work if the language chosen is not
English and "Enable keyboard layouts" is checked in KDE Control Center.
Hence, if I was writing in Arabic, I can't use Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+A, ... to
copy, paste, select all, ... respectively!!"

I believe the problem is in X, not in KDE/Qt code.

Can anyone confirm that assessment (please close with INVALID)?

This is dup of #56432 (and I can prove it, discussed on #kde-devel with munzir)
