Version:           0.7.3 (using KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from:    SuSE
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-144-default

This "contact list bug" has happened severeal times now. 

Sympton: Kopete is suddenly unable to connect to the MSN network, it just tries for a few seconds (the butterfly only blinks 3-4 times) and then it stops. (As soon as I delete the directory mentioned in the work around, everything works fine again.)

Work around: I resolve it by deleting the  ~/.kde/share/apps/kopete directory (which contains the contactlist.xml file). 

Plugins: The only loaded plugin was MSN.

Reproduction: It seems to reproduce when you restart Kopete, or when you were disconnected (but not always, so it's a bit hard to reproduce by purpose). 
But to me... it happens on a regular basis, so I suppose it happens to a lot of other users as well.

Severity: This bug makes Kopete half broken, it's not stable.

MSN changed its servers.  Please try Kopete 0.7.4, which has a fix for this.
