Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.1.93)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages

Since I installed kde-3.2beta2 over kde-3.1.4, the control center only shows the "LookNFeel" item...
This item contains "Mosfet's Liquid" and "KDE Splash Screen".

I get this bug using KDE-3.2beta2? WTF? Is the debian unstable compiler to blame? I get the same symptoms all the others describe, though.

The workarounds for other KDE-3.2b1 do not apply for me.  The menu files are where they should be, naturally since I have manually compiled KDE-3.2b2 using konstruct on DEbian unstable.

I have already erased KDEHOME and rebuild ksycoca several times.

Using Debian Sid with beta2 compiled using konstruct

bash-2.05b# dpkg -S /etc/xdg/menus/kde-settings.menu
kdebase-data: /etc/xdg/menus/kde-settings.menu
bash-2.05b# apt-get remove --purge kdebase-data

and it works now
