Description LD Steiner 2003-11-16 04:38:38 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs

Turning off all images is not a graceful way to deal with unwanted advertisements and "Not Safe For Work (NSFW)" content. The JavaScript and cookie preference windows are elegant and provide fine-grained control over content and invasiveness while browsing with Konqueror; I'd love to see a similar preference window for image loading that also works on a per-domain basis.

Wishlist items 56517 and 61803 could be handled by providing this functionality. I see it's been refused several years ago in bug 23756 but I feel it's time to revisit this concept. Mozilla and most gecko-based browsers provide some variation on blocking images; I feel that if Konqueror implements it similarly to its cookie and javascript management, it will provide better control and a more consistent interface than the Mozilla derivatives.

Per-domain image loading configuration

Mockup of how I'd envision the configuration screen for flexible per-domain
