Description Scott Newton 2003-11-14 04:19:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk)
OS: Linux

To duplicate:
1. From control center, or from Konqueror choose the Web Behaviour dialog from within Configure Konqueror.
2. Click on Advanced Options
3. At this point I loose all my window borders, not only for the dialog but for all open windows. Often the advanced dialog will open in the top right hand corner. Kicker becomes inactive - I can still see all the windows in the task bar and even right click on them and say close, but they do not close - the event is ignored. The toolbars are still active though - I can close the programs from there providing I can give them focus. Even though I have my programs over two desktops all programs are available from the one to close them. If I can get to the desktop I can right click on it and sometimes bring up the right-click menu, but it does nothing. This indicates to me that KWin has died. I can find no evidence of errors in any log file, either at the system level /var/log or in my own .xsession-errors.

This is from Nov12/13 HEAD CVS. It may be something to do with my build?

Thanks
Scott Newton
