Description Sven Fink 2003-11-13 11:11:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

presentation of todo entries in todo list is in evolution much more better readable than in korganizer. therefore my wishes:

- do not change the background color of due/overdue todos -> change the FOREGROUND color (as in evolution)
- mark completed todos not only with a marking in the checkbox -> mark it by striking out (as in evolution) too
- let compteted todos automatically disappear after a configurable period of time (as in evolution)

After a lot of discussion we decided not to implement striking out todos (only makes them look more important (try it yourself, your attention is drawn to the stroke items, not the ones that are still to do), and makes them unreadable. Also, one can always use filters to hide completed todo items completely.

Cheers,
Reinhold

Reinhold,

imho your comment is true with the current color scheme (change bg color, not fg color for due/overdue todos). but when you follow my suggestion to mark this todo s with different *foreground* colors, so this striking out will not mislead to wrong attention. when using foreground color, the todos are better differtiated from each other.

regards

Hiding completed to-do items only N days after completion (instead of immediately) has been implemented yesterday, and will be released with kde 3.4. So the only open wish is that overdue todos shall have a different text color, instead of a different background color.

Cheers,
Reinhold
