Description Tom Gufler 2003-11-12 15:34:34 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.93 (CVS >= 20031111), Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 20031022 (Gentoo Linux 3.3.2-r2, propolice)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.6.0-test9-bk10

How to reproduce:
Start Konqueror - goto Settings - Configure Konqueror - Java and JavaScript - Click on the "file selector" icon at the end of the line "Path to Java executable, or 'java':" - Kwin crashs (it stops working, I get no crash report)
Because I thought that this is a problem with my settings in the home directory (.kde) I created an accout. With the new user accout I get the same error.
This is always reproduceable for me. I tried also a few other file selector dialogs but I don't get a crash with them.

1) Oh, and it doesn't matter which kwin decoration I use.
2) I was able to restart kwin after the crash from a console and I get the following messages when I repeat:

ASSERT: "block_stacking_updates == 0" in layers.cpp (528)
ASSERT: "block_stacking_updates == 0" in layers.cpp (528)
Speicherzugriffsfehler (I think this is "core dump" in english)

The first two lines I get a few 100 time
