Description geiseri 2003-11-11 16:57:09 UTC
Version:           1.5.93 (using KDE 3.1.93 (CVS >= 20031028), yes)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB-athlon

finally a new IMAP bug ;) (till its getting damn solid)

okay on our server now that we use server side filtering folders and subfolders can be created by the server without the local kmail knowing.

It seems if these folders appear in a subfolder KMail wont always get them, more over if a folder is removed from the server, KMail seems to miss that too.

Im trying to see if this is purely a server issue, or if this is just KMail actually missing some signal that folders have changed.

hmmm okay this is really strange, it seems if i update my KMail prefs KMail exits and then with it restarts the folders are there...

Does something happen when you "Apply" the config vs just normal startup?

Not that I know.
You said that kmail does not always get the folder updates. Do you refer to a
running kmail or during startup? Are these folders read when you collapse and
expand the account?

Ian, kmail updates the folder list on startup and on config changes. Does that not work for you? I'm not sure I understand the problem.

Just checked, new folders do appear in both mentioned cases.
