Version:           3.1.93 (using KDE 3.1.93 (CVS >= 20031028), compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-99-default

Hi!
IMHO create new folder does no work as it should depending on where the focus is
1) folder
create new folder: creates a folder in the folder - the user does not see it - obviously

2) file - no RMB Entry for creating a new folder available

In earlier version it was possilbe to use RMB to do this.
workaroubnd  - use the "Edit - create new menu"

Well, obviously :)

The context menus in Konqueror are much more context sensitive now, and they weren't in 3.1. This is much more standardized with what's in other file managers, as well as the rest of KDE.

But IMHO it's an unexpected behaviour where the new folder is created (BTW in 
3.1.4 too). 
Windows has 2 context sensitive areas
- with the folder selected - no create folder RMB
- with folder not selected - create folder RMB - and teh folder is created in 
the current directory.

the problem seems to me that RMB and the Edit-Create New Folder give different results as described above.

what about specifying in the create folder dialog, where the folder is created
- in current directory
- in subdirectory <dirname>

so the user could read ;-) what is going to happen.

IMHO works good in 3.4
no more "create Folder" in RMB when hoovering over directory-names.
