Description Amit Shah 2003-11-08 15:19:31 UTC
Version: kde3.2beta1 (using KDE KDE 3.1.93)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc3.3.2
OS: Linux

The yahoo plugin shows me offline on my friend's list even though I'm logged in. Messages sent from me aren't received by the friends, and messages sent by them don't reach me.

built with konstruct (kde3.2beta1)

It worked today, same config. No changes anywhere. I just logged in, and was able to send messages. Also receiving messages. I guess this is linked to the yahoo messenger disconnecting without giving any warnings, then (bug #67287) (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67287).

Hmmm, interesting. If you don't get connected for whatever reason, you should get a message box that says why (even in the 3.2 beta 1 release). The fix for 67287 went in almost immediately after Kopete 0.7 was released. I won't close it for now, but let me know if it happens again and I'll see what if I can do anything else to reproduce it. (I haven't been able to so far)

Amit, has this kept on working? I'd like to close this bug since I can't reproduce it.

Unfortunately, yes. I'm still on the release which was shipped with 3.2beta1.
I guess it's related to the yahoo plugin going offline w/o any notification,
so you could perhaps mark this bug as a duplicate of that one.

ehhh, might as well mark it as a duplicate, i'd say that it's at least caused by 67287
