Description Thibaut Cousin 2003-11-07 08:04:43 UTC
Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-99-athlon

It would be very nice to have an OSD display of the track title in Noatun. I'm no programer, so the best I can do is to point you to an existing XMMS plugin based on libxosd, so you can see how it works. It seems to be rather simple and is included in the libxosd distribution:

Thanks for your attention!

There are already two plugins that do that, including one at http://www.hakubi.us/jefferson/

Thanks for the link, I'm going to test it. If it's stable, it's really the kind of thing that should be included in Noatun by default.

I've compiled and packaged Jefferson 3.2, it seems to work well, except that the display is not perfectly readable against white background. I'm already given my votes to this bugreport, so I can't do more...

Thanks for your attention!

As there is a plugin for the task I'm closing this bugreport.
