Version: (using KDE Devel) Compiler: gcc 3.3 OS: Linux Very easy to produce : Open Kwrite or Kate. Enable I-Search plugin. Select Toolbars->I-Search and see the search toolbar. Restart kwrite/kate and its gone.
Now Kwrite restores toolbar but kate does not.
hmm, if you enable some toolbar provided by a xmlguiclient, remove it, add later the same one again, the toolbar is away again, xmlgui bug ? (test: enable your isearch plugin of the katepart, say: show isearch toolbar in the standard mainwindow toolbar menu, change the document -> cu toolbar)
It's the same same with all views (File Browser, Terminal, ...). They are again all closed when restarting kate. And they won't remember their size!
I have a similar problem. This is with KATE only. 1. Open kate 2. Click Settings->Hide Toolbar 3. Exit & Restart 4. Toolbar has reappeared In ~/.kde/share/config/katerc I have: [Kate Main Window Toolbar mainToolBar] Hidden=true However, kate does not seem to do anything with this setting.
I second this issue. I'm using KDE 3.4. The "extra" toolbar has no icons, but it comes up every single time I start kate. Recently, I've been wanting to use no toolbars at all, but if I restart kate, I have to manually turn off the toolbars every time.
Working for me with kde4
