Description Tom Collins 2003-10-22 07:03:51 UTC
Version: 1.3 Beta (using KDE 3.1.92 (CVS >= 20031019), Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r2, propolice)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.0-test8

It seems as though I can't re-open bug 65918, thus this new one.

That bug is supposedly fixed, but I think there's another aspect to it that
is still unresolved. Specifically: "When the new tabbar icons change
(reflecting a change in state in the display), there is a repaint. Similarly,
when the tabbar is at the top, and the icon changes from normal (the
screen icon) to the alert (the bell icon), the bottom of the window moves
a little bit."

The window still (with CVS as of 10/21/2003) moves with the visual
bell. I'll attach a screenshot that shows the problem.

Open the screenshot in kpaint or kview, and zoom in to 300%. The
text area of the second session is 1 pixel higher than the first session.
Note that the top of the tabs are vertically aligned, but not the text
areas.	This is what causes the flashing when the visual bell is
invoked. Seems like this must be a simple one-off thing in the code.

I upgraded to a newer version of the icons used in the screenshots, and
the problem seems to be fixed. Could someone mark this bug as fixed
for me? Thanks.

Never mind. Marking it as fixed myself.
