Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources "United Kingdom" is listed in the holidays plugins in KOrganizer. The holiday dates actually are only for England and Wales, not the whole of the UK. Scotland and Northern Ireland, which are also part of the UK, each have their own holidays. This is an example the irritating habit that people have of using the terms UK and England as if they were equivalent. They are not! There are other parts of the UK which are not England.

How about you provide the missing holiday files, that would surely be an improvement.
Unfortunately, in Scotland, certain public holidays are common throughout Scotland, but the rest are set by each local authority. So it is not possible to provide a proper holiday file for Scotland (although it would be possible to have a partial file for the national Scottish holidays - I could do this if desired). It would be necessary to have a couple of dozen different files for each area or city within Scotland. This would, I think, be impractical to supply unless someone has a lot of time to research the subject. As for Northern Ireland, I would rather leave it to someone who lives there in case there are complications there similar to Scotland. In the meantime, I suggest changing the name of the holiday_gb file to holiday_England&Wales.

I just love closing ancient bugs :-) In SC 4.5 I've added support for regional holiday files, so we now have separate holiday files for "England and Wales", "Scotland", and "Northern Ireland" which will be listed as such rather than United Kingdom. It didn't go all the way down to local holidays, but it's a vast improvement :-)
